When is your Extra Help Day?

Extra help is available every Tuesday.  Occasionally that day may change.  You can make sure by looking at the homework page each week; it will be noted.

How do you grade homework?

Homework is graded for completion, neatness, and organization.  That includes showing all of the steps, including the original problem and work.  If a student does not understand how to do a problem, in order to receive credit, the student needs to still copy the original problem and show as much work as they can or write out where they are having difficulty.  Leaving problems empty or blank may result in receiving no credit.

When are your quizzes?

Algebra and Math-8 students have quizzes every Thursday.  Corrected quizzes are returned the next day in class.

Pre-Algebra students have quizzes every Friday.  Corrected quizzes are returned the next day in class.

What is my child's grade?

All tests, quizzes, projects, and homework are returned to students.  To get an idea of what the student's grade is, look at all returned papers.  If you take an average of the quizzes, tests, and projects, as well as the number of homework assignments completed out of all assigned, that will give you an estimate of the student's grade.
